Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, held a meeting today, Sunday, October 13, 2024, with the medical team for liver transplantation at the Digestive Surgery Center, to review the current status of medical equipment, and discuss the final arrangements and preparations for the opening and operation of the new building for liver transplantation.

In the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Saad Abdel Wahab, Acting Secretary-General of the University, Professor Dr. Al-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of Hospitals and Medical Centers, Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Supervisor of the Liver Transplant Program, Professor Dr. Helmy Ezzat, Director of the Digestive Surgery Center, Professor Dr. Ahmed Shehata, Deputy Director of the Center.

Dr. Sherif Khater praised the efforts made by the team of doctors at the center and the liver transplant team since its establishment until now in performing a large number of operations for Egyptians and non-Egyptians exceeding 1,100 cases, within a short period, which contributed to eliminating waiting lists
