Every year on May 5th, the world celebrates Global Hand Hygiene Day, an initiative launched by the World Health Organization to raise awareness of the importance of handwashing with soap and water as one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to prevent infectious diseases and avoid the transmission of germs.
On this occasion, the Infection Control Team at the Specialized Hospital Hospital, Mansoura University, organized an intensive field training day in various departments of the hospital under the theme "Handwashing Saves Lives." This training, conducted under the auspices of the Central Administration for Infection Control at Mansoura University Hospitals, aimed to promote awareness of the importance of hand hygiene and its fundamental role in protecting patients and healthcare workers.
The training included:

This activity comes with the continuous support and encouragement of Professor Hazem Hakim, the hospital director, as part of the commitment to supporting infection control efforts, enhancing the efficiency of medical teams, promoting a culture of patient safety, and creating a safe environment to protect patients, medical staff, and employees.
